VP Series [Star Technologies]

Vector Processor (VP) Series is a family of array processors completelypackaged to include all hardware and software components necessary forsuper-computing performance. The VP Series includes the VP-1 (50MFLOPS), the VP-2 (100 MFLOPS), and the VP-3 (150 MFLOPS). These multi-user, multihosted systems off-load computationally-intensive tasks suchas image processing, seismic processing, molecular modeling, simulation,radar, and signal processing.In addition to the VMEbus, the VP Series also provides a wide selectionof I/O options ranging in performance from 12.5 to 50 MB per second.This allows realtime applications to sustain high data rate bandwidthsconcurrently with computational processing without impacting VMEbusperformance.
